SNAP payments will be delivered to EBT cards in New York in April. The first day that eligible recipients will be able to collect Food Stamps will be April 1, 2025, in the State of New York.

To get SNAP benefits on April 1 in New York, your case number must end in 0 or 1. Therefore, there are two groups of recipients who can get money from USDA on the very first day of the month. What if your case number doesn’t end in 0 or 1?

SNAP case numbers 2-9 in New York

It could be the case that your SNAP case number ends in 2. Then, you will simply have to wait until April 2, 2025, to receive your Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits in New York. As you can see it follows a logical order:

  • Case number ending in: 3 = SNAP benefits available on April 3rd
  • Case number ending in: 4 = Food Stamp benefits arrive on the 4th of the month
  • Case number ending in: 5 = benefits due on the 5th of the month
  • Case number ending in: 6 = benefits due on the 6th of the month
  • Case number ending in: 7 = benefits will be sent on the 7th of the month
  • Case number ending in: 8 = benefits coming on the 8th of the month
  • Case number ending in: 9 = SNAP benefits available on the 9th of the month

SNAP payment amounts in New York

The maximum Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit in New York is worth $292 if you are an individual. This is the same maximum amount as in all the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia.

Families of 2 can receive up to $536 claims USDA. Bear in mind that the bigger your household size is, the more money you may get if you qualify for SNAP. For example, if you are 8 in your household, you can get up to $1,756.
